SUP / Kayak Hybrid Paddle

One Paddle for All? Carlisle Taboo Stand Up Paddle I’ve been looking into making a cut off paddle as a spare and for use when I fish.  I wanted a 1 hand paddle to steer and get me out of tight quarters when fishing.  I was actually going to make one until I saw this paddle.  It seemed like the answer, especially because it will convert to a 2 blade kayak style paddle.         The paddle comes with a blade with a long handle that has two separate length handles for use as a SUP.  Great that it has 2 handles for kids and adults.  It then has a separate blade with...

SUP Fish Finder

Here is my setup for using a fish finder on an SUP. I use a Fishin’ Buddy 110 by Humminbird.  I use a standard clamp available at The Home Depot or from Amazon secured to my fishing crate.  The screw on clamps give a more positive hold than the squeeze clamps.  I also use a bungee cord as a safety – just in case.  The display is easy to read as you paddle and the unit is...
